David is managing director and founder of SOENECS, a research and innovation practice in 2014. SOENECS provide strategic research, advice, training, solutions, chairing and facilitation on the topics of circular economy, environmental auditing, waste & resource management. SOENECS have been part of the four year Intergg NWE TRANSFORM:CE project which has produced a CE Plastics navigation tool to assist the sector increase the value of single use post consumer plastics David is also Founding Partner and Urban Miner at etsaW, a venture studio investing in circular economy start-ups and Co-founder and MD of Tech-Takeback, a not for profit company collecteing end of life small electricals for reuse. In September 2021, David was appointed as Professor of Circular Economy at the University of Brighton to lecture and work with academics to incorporate circular economy into the curriculum. David is also Vice President of Circular Economy Institute (CEI) responsible for External Affairs, he is also leader of Circular Economy Club (CEC) London chapter and co-leader of the CEC Brighton & Hove chapter.
